The invention relates to a sealing strip (1) having a U-shaped cross-section comprising a metal reinforcing member (2) sheathed, at least partially, with a plastomer material of the plasticised polyvinyl chloride type and intended to cover a projecting rim, especially of a motor-vehicle body, one of the inner faces of the U having at least one lip (5) directed towards the projecting rim. According to the invention, the lip (5) is made of a thermoplastic elastomer material compatible with that sheathing the reinforcing member and provides a connection, by melting with the latter during their coextrusion, having a sharp softening point between 150 and 200 DEG C and of Shore hardness, at 22 DEG C, between 75 and 80. <IMAGE> |
