The device enhances the defrosting efficiency by installing the defrosting device in just a heat absorption part and a cool air recovery pipe, instead of a cooling chamber or a freezing chamber. The defrosting device comprises a frost growth detection means, rotatably installed near the heat absorption part, having a frost sensing rod (28) driven by cool air flow; a switching means (24) driving the defrosting device when the sensing rod (28) is forced by the cool air flow; a cool air flow passage (30), formed around the heat absorption part (10); a pivot (23) supporting the sensing rod (28) to an outer wall (34); an elastic member (29) separating a moving contact (24a) from a fixed contact (24b).
