A process is described for producing multilayer metal patterns, which process comprises the following, successive steps: application of a film, provided with a coloured pattern, to a substrate, transfer of the pattern to the substrate by heating, staining of the substrate in a pigment solution, removal of oil, colourant solution and/or ink left on the substrate, application of a conductive ink to the pattern, electroplating of the pattern until a required thickness is achieved, cleaning and drying of the substrate, and finishing of the pattern on the substrate.
