The transparent matrix band, which is either straight or bent, has at one end a thickening stop, which acts as a stop when the band is drawn through an approximal space with a contact point. The stop is elastic and deformable which makes it wedge firmly in the approximal space with a contact point. The stop is thicker than the approximal space without contact, a diastema, and acts even here as a stop. The length of the transparent plastic band is approximately 10cm, with a width of approximately 1cm, and a thickness of approximately 0.05mm. The thickened one end of the band is approximately 0.25mm and the length of the thickened end is approximately 4mm. |
