A pie maker (1) for making a pie having a base, a side wall and a cover, which pie maker comprises a mould assembly to define the shape of the pie comprising co-operating first (7) and second moulds (12), the first mould (7) defining the shape of the pie base and the side wall and the second mould (12) defining the shape of the pie cover, heating means (8, 32) for heating the first and second moulds to cook the pie, the heating means (8) for heating the first mould (7) comprising a heating element (8) arranged to direct heat to a portion (25) of the first mould (7) which defines the shape of the side wall of the pie, and sealing means (27, 36) formed in the first mould and the second mould for sealing the pie cover and the pie side wall together. |
