<p>The invention provides a chair (1) having a seat portion (11), a back portion (12) and/or a leg support portion (13) which support a user in its normal seated configuration. The portions (11, 12, 13) of the chair (1) can be displaced to pivot the seat portion (11) from its horizontal seated position towards a vertical upright position with the back portion (12) and/or leg support portion (13) displaced with the seat portion (11) to provide a generally upright support for the user. The chair (1) allows a user of limited mobility to be assisted to and from an upright position.</p> |
