<p>The invention relates to a method and a system for controlling the operation of a telephone exchange (1) from a subscriber connection. In the invention, a direct communication connection (C) is established between a subscriber connection (5) and a telephone exchange control unit (3); one or more command macros executing a predetermined task with associated parameters are supplied from the subscriber connection to the telephone exchange control unit (3); and the commands of the given command macro are executed in the control unit (3) under the control of the parameters associated with each command.</p> |
