<p>The invention is related to a pharmaceutical preparation for nasal insulin administration in men comprising the polypeptide hormone insulin, or an analogue thereof, and a methylated β-cyclodextrin having a degree of substitution between 0.5 and 3.0, and being a solid (powder) or a semi solid preparation. The preparation can be produced by performing a process comprising the steps of (1) producing a solution of at least the polypeptide hormone insulin, or an analogue thereof, and a methylated cyclodextrin, (2) freezing the said solution, and (3) lyophilizing the frozen substance.</p> |
