Method for the determination of hydrogen peroxide

To determine the H2O2 concentration, luminol and, in place of a catalyst, a hypochlorite are used, whereby luminol is converted in a very fast and defined manner into an intermediate which leads specifically with H2O2 to luminescence emission. This results in a very short measurement time with high sensitivity. The method is furthermore distinguished by a very high H2O2 specificity and can be used under physiological conditions.
