The invention relates to a longitudinal chain conveyor for round timber, with an endlessly rotary-driven conveyor chain (4) and with drivers (5) which are fastened thereto at intervals so as to be movable about a transverse axis and which extend transversely relative to the conveying direction and are supported so as to be slideably movable on guide tracks (7, 8) arranged on both sides next to the conveyor chain (4) and parallel to the latter. These guide tracks are vertically adjustable relative to one another in discharge regions for the discharge of round timber transversely relative to the conveying direction while the conveyor is running. According to the invention, the support of the guide tracks in the discharge regions consists, in each case, of a yoke (9) connecting the guide tracks (7, 8) to one another transversely relative to the conveying direction and of a pivoting shaft which is movably connected to the yoke (9) and which is pivotable by actuating means about its longitudinal axis oriented parallel to the conveying direction. Advantageously, each yoke (9) is articulated on a parallel guide linkage consisting of a pair of vertical joint links (10 and 11) and of a pair of horizontal joint links (12 and 13) which are supported on pivoting shafts (14, 15) mounted centrally in the frame (1). <IMAGE>
