The invention relates to a device including, according to a particular embodiment, a casing (1) having at one of its ends a DIN rated connector (2) with 5 male pins capable of receiving, in this particular embodiment, a screw (3) for fixing the pin-holder with cylindrical head projecting with respect to the body of the casing, and including, at the opposite end from the connector, a gripping ring (4). The body of the casing contains the electronics intended for receiving, processing, storing and transmitting by way of a remote computer terminal meeting the videotex specifications or of a computer the information originating from a collection carried out on mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, automobile apparatuses, for domestic or industrial use.
