The present invention relates to a casing for a structural opening designed to be installed in an opening (5) in a wall (6) or in a partition, characterised in that it consists of two single-piece frames (2, 3) which can be juxtaposed and joined together by fixing means (4) which enable the axial thickness of the said casing (1) to be adjusted according to the thickness of the wall (6) or of the partition, in that each of the said frames (2, 3) has a radial flange (20, 30) which extends outwards and which defines one face of the said casing (1), as well as an axial plate (21, 31) which extends in a direction basically perpendicular to the said flange (20, 30), and in that the axial plate (21) of one of the said frames (2) can slide in the tubular axial plate (31) of the other frame (3), by virtue of which the said casing (1) has, around its periphery, a channel which is open towards the outside and is of adjustable width, and by virtue of which the said casing (1) can be sealed in the said opening by clamping the wall or the partition between the said flanges (20, 30) with the aid of fixing means (4). <IMAGE>
