The invention relates to a whirlpool bath tub with one or more suction devices for sucking-in, conveying and supplying water out of or into the tub space, the water being suckable at one or more sites of the bath tub via a suction aperture provided with suction orifices and being returnable to the tub space at several sites via nozzles provided with outlet orifices or via the suction apertures themselves provided with outlet orifices. The danger of hair of a bathing individual being sucked in by the device is ruled out because there is a protective screen in each case behind the suction aperture(s) and at a distance thereto in the flow direction of the sucked-in water. The screen is provided with a large number of perforations whose opening widths are so small that sucking-in of hair into the protective screen is prevented.
