A control valve which can be actuated electromagnetically is known which has a valve housing with a valve chamber, from which two bores located in a chamber base and a chamber top respectively and in alignment with one another and with an actuating pin extend on opposite sides, and has as valve-closing body a ball which is located in the valve chamber and can be actuated by the actuating pin through the bore in the chamber top and with which a first bore can be closed. This valve is to be designed as a 2/2-way directional valve, in which case it is to be possible to use at least some identical components for both the version of this valve open in the currentless state and the version closed in the currentless state. This is achieved by the ball being located in a supporting bush in which it is held consistently at least in the opening direction and via which it can be supported at a certain distance from the first bore on the chamber base or on the chamber top.
