A pipe-cleaning apparatus with a milling head (3) also makes it possible to clean pipelines which are fully blocked, for example, by concrete. The milling head (3) acts, during rotation, in a manner similar to a percussion drill hammer and is driven only by a pressure medium which also serves for flushing out the pipeline and discharging the material which has rubbed off. The cleaning apparatus moves forwards automatically in the pipeline, exactly in accordance with its current milling power, by virtue of the percussion pulses produced by means of cam plates (12, 22), pulse compensation and backflow of the pressure medium. The cleaning apparatus follows the course of the pipelines and cleans them without damaging them. <IMAGE>
