A device (1) for simulating the body of a vehicle, in particular the body of a passenger car, consists of rigid frame components (2 to 10) which can be securely connected to one another and are arranged on its inside for the purpose of interior cubing equipment components (21). According to the invention, individual frame components (2 to 10) can be slid or pivoted with respect to the rest of the device (1). For example, hinges (11, 16) permit the lateral assembly frames (5, 6) which simulate the doors to pivot; additionally longitudinal guides (13) permit lateral displaceability of the assembly frames (5). A pivot bearing (14/15) ensures the pivotability of an assembly frame (7) for a dashboard. The equipment components (21) are additionally connected to the frame components in a releasable fashion. The device (1) according to the invention provides a flexible, reusable cubing structure constructed according to the construction kit principle which permits a simulation of a passenger compartment with largely real functional conditions. By virtue of the good accessibility and the easier handling there is a saving in time and cost with respect to conventional cubing structures. <IMAGE>
