A tongue forming part of a safety-belt system is provided with two apertures 6, 7 adapted to receive the safety-belt 20. The tongue 1 has a portion 2 adapted to be received and retained by a buckle forming part of a safety-belt system. The tongue 1 carries a clamping element 8 adapted to be moved, by pressure applied to the clamping element by the safety-belt, to a clamping position (see fig. 5) in which the clamping element 8 clamps part of the safety-belt 20. Locking means 11 are provided movable between a locking position and a release position. When the locking means 11 are in the locking position, the clamping element 8 is prevented from moving to the clamping position. However, when the locking means 11 are in the release position the clamping element 8 may move to the clamping position. <IMAGE> |
