An accessory for a fish pond comprises a fountain pump (12), a sensor (14) adapted to sense a predator in the vicinity of the pond, switch means (16, Fig. 4) for the supply of power to the fountain pump and timer means (15. Fig. 4) to cause said switch means to close for a predetermined period whenever said sensor detects the presence of a predator.
