<p>The present invention relates to a device for detecting the level of a liquid, of the type comprising: a resistive probe (10) partially immersed in the liquid, supply means (20) capable of applying electrical energy to the said probe, means (30) sensitive to at least one of the electrical parameters, voltage and current, in the probe, and means (30) for monitoring the change in the said parameter in order to deduce therefrom information regarding the liquid level, characterised in that the monitoring means (30) are designed to measure at least two differential parameters representing the change in the said parameter and are designed to define the liquid level by exploiting these two differential parameters with the aid of a relationship based on the coefficient of heat exchange from the probe into the liquid and on the coefficient of heat exchange from the probe into air. <IMAGE></p> |
