PURPOSE:To obtain this mat that causes no positional slippage and turn-over and has excellent productivity, by unifying a backing layer of a carpet backed with a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer and a sound insulating sheet consisting of a polyvinyl chloride sheet with high specific gravity. CONSTITUTION:A sound insulating sheet 11 consisting of a soft polyvinyl chloride sheet is continuously sent, and a carpet 12 is stacked on the sheet 11. The carpet 12 is manufactured by fixing piles 13 in polypropylene, etc. by a backing layer 14 in a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer. The sound insulating sheet 11 and the carpet 12 are each heated by means of heating devices 15a, 15b, and a surface where the sound insulating sheet 11 and the backing layer 14 contact is softened. The sound insulating sheet 11 and the carpet 12, which are plasticized in this manner, are stacked, pass between delivery rollers 16, and are thermally fusion bonded, thus obtaining this mat 17. The mat 17 is laid on a floor panel 2 covered with a damping portion material layer 3 through felt 4. |
