<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a rolling roll from damage based on drawing of the tip part of a rolled stock by opening the roll gap of a control target mill in the estimation of the moment before a shapeless part and the tip part of the rolled stock pass between the rolls. CONSTITUTION:A change-over switch 12 is changed over by a tracking computing element 11 calculating and estimating the moment before the shapeless part of the rolled stock and the tip part of the rolled stock pass the target mill 1 to be controlled to command the completion of a tracking and to open the roll gap of the target mill 1 to be controlled. The fact that a difference between a rolled load P1t of the mill 1 and a reference rolled load P1to therefor, that is, a reduced amount of the rolled load (P1to-P1t) >= a set value is reduced a prescribed amount by opening of the roll gap is decided by a logical decision circuit 13. Before the change-over switch 14 is changed over by the decision circuit 13 and the shapeless part and the tip part of the rolled stock pass through the mill 1, the control operation for meandering control is closed and the control output for leveling is maintained to a controlled variable when the control operation is closed.</p> |
