<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a sensor equipped with an optical fiber which allows detection of more than one specimen (hematic pH, oxygen, nitrous oxide, etc.). CONSTITUTION: This invention relates to a first optical fiber sensor cell 101a for detecting ionicity and a second cell 101b for detecting gaseity. Each cell is equipped with a membrane which transmits a specific ion or a specific gas in the sample and the ions or the concentration of the gases transmitted in the optical fiber are detected. In the example illustrated of this invention, the membrane is equipped with a polymer consisting of hydrophilic polymer which fuses pH sensitive dye and potassium-sensitive luminescent dye, and pH and the concentration of potassium ions in the sample are detected. Further, it is possible to detect a combination of pH by using a luminescent dye which reacts with calcium and sodium ions and it is also possible to measure PO2 by using a luminescent dye which reacts with oxygen.</p> |
