PURPOSE:To provide a brake device for a vehicle in which the degree of freedom for layout of respective components is not limited, and small size of the device and decrease of the cost due to curtailment of the number of parts can be attained. CONSTITUTION:This brake device is provided with respective master cylinders 12 respectively generating brake pressure for left side wheels and right side wheels, and a braking force distribution control circuit 8 (containing respective control pistons 36, 37) which is provided between the master cylinders 12 and an operation rod 35 connected to the brake pedal 34 side, and can discriminately distribute working force to the respective master cylinders 12. In the brake device provided with a working force transmitting mechanism to transmit working force from the braking force distribution control circuit 8 to the respective master cylinders 12, and a balance mechanism 18 to transmit operating force from the operation rod 35 to the braking force distribution control circuit 8, the working force transmitting mechanism is constituted out of a hydraulic circuit. Further the balance mechanism 18 can be constituted out of a hydraulic circuit. |
