PURPOSE:To improve the appearance of a conver unit by a method wherein recessed groove is formed at the inside of the rapturing part of the outer periphery of an airbag unit on a skin member and the skin member is formed integrally with a base member through foaming molding, then, notch is formed on the recessed groove thereafter. CONSTITUTION:An airbag cover unit 11 is provided on a part of an interior trim 10 and the opening 19 of an airbag storing unit 13 is covered while the rapturing part 16 of the outside of the cover 11 is broken upon expanding an airbag 14 and the cover 11 is opened outwardly through a hinge unit 17. A part, specified so as to be the rapturing part 16 of the skin member 20, is provided with a groove 21 recessed inwardly while a foamed body 30 is molded integrally with the rear side of the skin member 20. A notch 31, almost arriving at the rear side of the skin member 20, is forced at a part corresponding to the recessed groove of the foamed body 30. Accordingly, the rapturing part 16 of the cover unit 11 can keep good appearance. |
