GATEWAY FOR USE IN LOAD CONTROL SYSTEM

The specification discloses an improved gateway which is provided between a leased- and powerline information transmission systems for exchanging signals to be transmitted between the leased and power lines in a load control system and which includes first control means for controlling communications effected on the leased line, a leased-line transceiver for regulating or converting signals which being to be transmitted between the leased line and the first control means, second control means for controlling the power-line carrier transmission, power line coupling means for regulating signals which being transmitted between the power line and the second control means and general control means for generally controlling the first and second control means. Thereby, reliability and performance of the gateway can be much improved.
