PURPOSE:To provide an inspection device for printing quality, which will never generate big error in the judgement of printing quality judged by human eyes. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a printing characteristic extractor 1, extracting the printing characteristic of the printing width and the like of a printed input symbol and the like, and a printing characteristic comparator 3, comparing the printing characteristic with the printing characteristic of a template symbol, prestored and becoming a reference. When the printing width of the reference symbol is large upon evaluating the quality by the result of comparison, an allowable range is enlarged by a fuzzy inference evaluating device 5 to evaluate the printing quality of the input symbol. |
