PURPOSE: To adjust the proper inclination of a printing plate simply at an advantageous price by supporting a stopping member being oriented in the circumferential direction of a plate cylinder in an insertion gap in the circumferential direction of the plate cylinder adjustably in order to correct the inclination of a plate and fitting a means for adjusting the position of the stopping member to a plate clamping device or the plate cylinder. CONSTITUTION: The position of a printing image on a printing plate is measured before clamping the plate to grasp a deviation from a target position. A stopping screw 3 is adjusted with the used of a fine scale 10 corresponding to the deviation at an inclination position in order to remove the deviation at the inclination position. After the adjustment of the position of the screw 3, when a printing plate 1 is inserted into the gap between a fixed clamp part 5 and a moving clamp part 6, the plate 1 is centered by a fixed centering bolt 2 and contacts the stopping surface 7 of the screw 3 on the opposite side. Next, the moving clamp part 5 is shifted upward according to an arrow until the plate 1 is clamped. In order to restrict the adjusting stroke of the screw 3, a stopping surface 23 is formed in a plate cylinder 4. By the biasing action of a spring 8, the unintended detachment of the screw 3 can be prevented. |
