PURPOSE:To produce the subject agent which forms a flame-retardant inorg.-org. composite having a high foaming ratio and excellent durability and solidification strength by combining an aq. sodium silicate soln. contg. a polyol with a liq. org. polyisocyanate compd. CONSTITUTION:This agent is of a two-component type, comprising component A consisting mainly of an aq. sodium silicate soln. contg. a low-mol.-wt. polyol having a hydroxyl value of 750-1,900 and component B consisting mainly of an org. polyisocyanate compd. Since the agent has a low viscosity, is excellent in penetrating properties, and can have a high foaming ratio, it well penetrates into gaps whereinto a conventional agent hardly penetrates, thus enabling the solidification of ground, etc. High compatibility of the polyol with water glass enables the formation of a homogeneous solidified zone. The agent is economical since a sufficient solidification strength is obtd. even when the foaming ratio is high, and the agent IS excellent in flame retardancy since it forms an inorg.-org. composite. |
