PURPOSE:To smooth the surface of a plate body by a roller automatically with a uniform force by a method wherein a spring member is attached to a part of an arm provided slantedly and a roller is attached to the tip end of the arm through a spring member while a force, applied on the roller, is regulated by a force sensor. CONSTITUTION:A driving cylinder 3, free of up-and-down motion, is attached to a table 2, supported by a frame 1 and movable into X-Y direction, and an arm 4 is attached to the lower end of the driving cylinder 3 diagonally through an angle setting mechanism 5. The middle part of the arm 4 is constituted of a leaf spring 6 while a cylindrical roller 7 is attached rotatably to the tip end of the arm 4. A force sensor 8 is provided on a part of the arm 4 to measure a force applied on the roller 7. The table 2 is moved reciprocally into X-Y direction and the surface of a plastic plate P is pressed by the roller 7 to discharge remaining bubbles, however, a force applied on the roller 7 is detected by the sensor 8 in this case and the up-and-down position of the cylinder 3 as well as the rotating angle of the arm 4 are regulated to retain a given force and follow the configuration of the plate P by the leaf spring 6. |
