PURPOSE:To enable a simultaneous execution of a reversal and a covering in the process of bonding a seat cover to a molded pad by means of the titled device comprising an upper bonding mold formed inseparably with an independently movable sliding mold which slides in transverse direction and a lower bonding mold which slides downward only so that it projects into and out of a concaved member making a scraping motion in the transverse direction. CONSTITUTION:A sliding mechanism 25 of a lower bonding mold 21 is activated to hold up a downward sliding mold 23 to make pressing surfaces 22a and 23a into one continuous plane. Then, a reversed seat 6 is turned over on top of the pressing surface 22a, 23a. A molded pad 4 on which a bonding agent 7 is applied is set on the seat cover. Subsequently, an upper mold base 12 and a sliding mold 13 are lowered to fix the pad 4 to the pressing surface. The pad 4 is bonded to the cover by applying heat generated from the heating means of upper and lower molds 11, 12. After cooling, the upper sliding mold 13 is moved upward to make the sliding mechanism 25 project into the concaved part with a scraping motion 24 to make a cylinder 27 to extend. A covering roller 29 is thus moved to elastically reform a bulging part 5 of the pad 4 thereby reversing the seat cover and completing the covering process which is comparatively reduced from a conventional process. |
