PURPOSE: To provide an anginal therapeutic agent which contains diltiazem and molsidomine in the form of bases or salts and exhibits an improvement in exercise tolerance. CONSTITUTION: This cerapeutic agent for the ischemical heart diseases contains the diltiazem and molsidomine in the form of the bases or salts; for example, hydrochloride malate and resinate together with a suitable excipient. The cerapeutic agent preferably contains the diltiazem hydrochloride at a ratio of 30 to 360 mg and the molsidomine 3 to 12 mg. Both of the two effective components exhibit an effect of increasing oxygen supply. Both respectively exhibit the desirable effects not possessed by the others; the diltiazem by decreasing post load and the molsidomine by decreasing fore load. Further, the diltiazem slightly decreases the cardiac rate and suppresses the increase in the cardiac rate which may be induced in some cases by the molsidomine. As a result, the oxygen demand is decreased. The compsn. is, for example, a tablet, coated tablet or slow releasing pharmaceutical prepn. |
