PURPOSE:To prevent fluctuation in color tone of a thermoplastic resin composition and occurrence of a carbide by a method wherein nitrogen gas is supplied from a gas supply opening provided near on and after the second supply opening, and melt kneading is carried out while an inside of an extruder on and after the second supply opening is being filled with nitrogen gas. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic resin from a hopper 3 or thermoplastic resin composition with a quantitative supplier 4 is supplied into a cylinder 1 of an extruder. The supplied thermoplastic resin or thermoplastic resin composition is transferred to a melt zone 8 wherein it is transported in a melt state via a transition zone 7 which is a transition state from a solid to the melt state following a solid zone 6 wherein it is transported in a solid state. Thermoplastic resin and other resins, reinforcing materials, an additive which are supplied from the second supply opening 9 are thrown from a hopper 11, fed quantitatively into a hopper 14 of a side feeder 10 with a quantitative feeder 12, and is supplied into the cylinder 1 of the extruder from a horizontally cross direction to a flow direction of the resin. |
