PURPOSE:To provide a CO2 deep-sea casting storage method enabling the stable deep-sea storage of liquefied CO2 obtained by recovering CO2 contained in exhaust gas and liquefying this CO2. CONSTITUTION:Liquid CO2 102 is cast into the depth of 3000m or deeper, where the density thereof to that of sea water is reversed, from a liquid CO2 storage tank 103 by an innjection pump 104 through a charging pipe 105 and settled by the self-weight into a depression at the depth of 4000m or deeper where the density of the liquid CO2 becomes large. Stratification formed of a CO2 saturated sea water layer 111 is formed on the liquid CO2 by CO2 dissolved from the liquid CO2 settled into the depression so as to restrain the liquid CO2, stored in the depression, from being influenced by the turbulent flow of an ocean current, thus enabling the stable deep-sea storage of the liquid CO2 over a long period of time. |
