RECEIVING APPARATUS FOR MOLTEN STEEL-MAKING SLAG AND TREATING METHOD

PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for receiving molten steel-making slag and a stag-treating method effective for remarkably reducing the load on the work for separating the solidified slag from molten iron. CONSTITUTION:The objective apparatus for receiving a partially solidified molten steel-making slag containing iron metal is provided with a sieving means 10 to essentially inhibit the passage of solidified material and to allow the passage of the molten material and a receiving means 20 to receive the molten material passed through the sieving means 10 and solidify the molten part at a rate to enable the separation of the iron metal from the slag by the specific gravity difference.
