<p>PURPOSE:To prevent galvanic corrosion destruction of a thermal head at the time of applying a bias voltage in the case of non-printing. CONSTITUTION:When a bias voltage is applied to a heat generating resistor of a thermal head at the time of non-printing, a platen roller is operated by a motor driver 15 and a motor 14 to finely move a heat-sensitive sheet thereby to vary a moisture state of a surface of the resistor, an intermittent preliminary pulse is applied to a driver IC 6 through a head driver 12, the resistor is operated to generate heat in the degree in which the sheet does not develop a color to scatter moisture on its surface, thereby allowing galvanic corrosion reaction of the head to scarcely occur.</p> |
