<p>PURPOSE:To delete necessary data amount without deteriorating image quality by multiplying by conversion factor the reference data and calculating desired data. CONSTITUTION:Before recording, a system controller 401 reads reference conducting data for realizing reference density characteristics under reference recording conditions and a conversion factor for realizing the reference density characteristics under selected recording conditions from a conducting data storage unit 501. Then, the controller 401 multiplies by the factor reference conducting time data to calculate conducting time data at all gradations under selected recording conditions, generates heat from a heat generator of a thermal head 7 in response to the calculated conducting time data, and halftone records.</p> |
