PURPOSE: To obtain an anhydrous cosmetic makeup compsn. contg. a fat phase mixed with a provesicle lipid phase capable of forming vesicles in the presence of water. CONSTITUTION: A fat phase consisting of oil, a fat base and a surfactant is mixed with a provesicle lipid phase contg. at least one kind of amphipatic lipid capable of forming vesicles by contact with an aq. phase. The amphipatic lipid is, e.g. ionic amphipatic lipid represented by the formula (R1 is 7-21C alkyl or alkenyl, R2 is a residue of satd. or unsatd. 7-31C hydrocarbon and M is H, Na, K, NH4 or an ammonium ion derived from an amine) or nonionic amphipatic lipid such as straight chain or branched chain polyglycerol ether having two aliphatic chains, aliphatic alcohol having polyoxyethylene, natural or synthetic glycolipid. It is preferably that a cosmetically active material or a dermatologically active material is further incorporated into the resultant anhydrous compsn.
