PURPOSE:To generate display data obtained by rotating a tomographic image on a display screen by an arbitrary angle, and to improve the diagnostic efficiency, in an ultrasonic diagnostic device which generates the display data of the tomographic image by converting ultrasonic scan data by a sector system or a convex system. CONSTITUTION:This digital scan converter 1 is provided with a pre-memory 2 for storing ultrasonic scan data Ds (e, theta) in accordance with an address (r, theta), and a frame memory 3 for storing display data Dp (x, y) in accordance with an address (x, y) corresponding to the horizontal and the vertical directions on a display screen. The address (x, y) is generated from an (x)-(y) generator 4, and an address after an offset amount (-DELTAx, -DELTAy) is added 5 to this address is rotated 6 by an angle alpha and it becomes a rotary address (x', y').
