PURPOSE:To eliminate a device for adding steam or atomized water and reduce the facility expenditure by a method wherein a part of combustion discharged gas of which the temperature is decreased after radiating heat through a heat storage member is mixed with combustion air and then the temperature of the combustion air is reduced. CONSTITUTION:Combustion gas generated through a primary combustion and a secondary combustion radiates heat into a heating furnace 1 when the gas passes through a radiant tube 2, it radiates heat to a heat storage member 14 of a burner device 25' so as to reduce its temperature and then the gas is passed through an air feeding pipe 26' and an air supplying or discharging changing-over valve 27 as combustion discharged gas and then the gas is discharged out of a device through a discharging fan 29. Then, the changing-over valves 27 and 31 are changed over, resulting in that the burner device 27' may operate to ignite and the burner device 25 performs a heat storage operation. Then, preheating of the combustion air supplied to the burner device performing combustion through heat storage members 14 and 14' is carried out. The temperature is detected by either a temperature sensor 39 or 40, either a flow rate adjusting valve 36 or a fan 37 is operated under the operation of a control device 41 in response to the temperature detected and then the flow rate of combustion waste gas mixed with the combustion air is controlled.
