Plastic compositions, neutral and flexible at temperatures below 150 DEG C. and intended for coating blasting fuses, are described containing chlorinated rubber mixed with a chlorine derivative of a hydrocarbon such as benzene, naphthalene, or diphenyl acting as a plastifier. The composition may also contain an additional plastifier such as triphenyl- or tricresyl-phosphate of ammonia; a filler such as lampblack, barium sulphate, or diatomite; and a plastic material such as pitch, tar, or resins. One example contains tetrachloronaphthalene 4500 g., chlorinated rubber 600 g., tricresylphosphate of ammonia 400 g., and lampblack 200 g.
