PURPOSE:To eliminate damages on transparent conductive films during wet process to form metal electrodes and improve productivity of panel heaters by forming a transparent thin film having high acid resistance and a metal electrode on a transparent conductive films. CONSTITUTION:A transparent conductive film 3, a transparent thin film 10 having acid resistance, and a metal under layer 4 are successively formed on the main face of a transparent substrate 2 made of plastic. Further, a pair of metal electrodes 5 are formed on the area of the metal under layer 4 and of both end parts of the heater to apply electricity to the transparent conductive film 3, a first transparent and protective resin layer 6 is successively formed to cover the part which is of the surface of the metal under layer 4 and on which the electrodes are not formed, and a protective layer 7 is further formed on the electrodes 5 and the first transparent protective resin layer 7. The transparent resin layer 7 may be composed of an adhesive layer 7a and a plastic film 7b. By making the heater with that structure, without damaging the transparent conductive film, dry process and wet process are combined and employed to manufacture heaters and thus the reliability and productivity of the heaters are improved. |
