摘要 PURPOSE:To provide the divider which can decrease the number of transistors(TR) when an actual circuit is constituteed by using an RSD notation similarly to conventional technology and simplifying a table for determining quotient digits. CONSTITUTION:This is a subtraction shift type divider which uses a dividend or partial remainder represented with signed digits each having one of -1, 0, and 1 and a divisor in complement notation of '2' and is equipped with a selector 9 which converts the divisor into the same value, inverted value, or '0' according to the value of quotient digits at each point of time during division and outputs the conversion result, an adder 10 which adds (subtracts) the partial remainder, the output of the converting means, and 1 or 0, and a quotient digit determining circuit 2 which determines a next quotient digit from the quotient digit at each point of time during the division and part of the partial remainder obtained by the adder 10.
