PURPOSE:To provide a machine translation apparatus in which detail dictionary information can be easily used. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with a user reference dictionary storage part 5 constituted separately from a translation dictionary storage part 8, which stores dictionary information having at least the title information, part of speech information, translation word information, and example information of each word, dictionary retrieval processing part 4 which retrieves the user reference dictionary storage part 5, and stores the dictionary information of the designated word in a dictionary retrieved result storage part 6, character string segmentation processing part 11 which stores designated dictionary data among the dictionary information in the dictionary retrieved result storage part 6 in a character string storage part 12, and character string copy processing part 13 which writes the dictionary data in the character string storage part 12 in a position corresponding to a designated copy destination in a translated result storage part 9, and corrects the translated result. Thus, a labor for consulting a dictionary as a printed matter can be saved. |
