发明名称 DISCHARGE LAMP LIGHTING DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To restrain recombination of electrons vanishing a plasma condition by the recombination by generating discharge between electrodes while impressing pulse voltage on the electrodes of a discharge lamp, and electrifying an electrically conductive member positively during a pulse voltage stopping period. CONSTITUTION:Pulse voltage is impressed upon filament electrodes 3a and 3b in a glass bulb 2 of a discharge lamp 1 by a pulse voltage impressing means 5, and plasma composed of discharging noble gas is generated, and the discharge lamp 1 is lighted. A positive electric potential pulse is impressed on an electrically conductive member 4 arranged in the vicinity of the bulb during this pulse stopping period through the means 5, and the member 4 is electrified positively. Thereby, since electrons vanishing a plasma condition by recombination are attracted to the outer wall side of the bulb 2, the recombination of the electrons is not caused, so that the discharge lamp discharges electricity with high efficiency and high output, and can emits glow light by the whole inside of the bulb.
