PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized constant speed pulley which can hold the revolving speed of a pulley member held by input shaft approx. constantly even when the input shaft revolving speed has increased above the specified value. CONSTITUTION:A torque transmitting member 17 is provided with a tapered surface (23 which is pressed when a centrifugal weight 16 moves outwards and pressed to a follower ring 12 by a spring 24. The rotation of the input shaft 1 is transmitted to a pulley member 6 with the viscosity resistance of a viscous fluid which is interposed between the mating parts of a driving ring 19 and the follower ring 12. The torque transmitting member 17 is slided by the action of the weight 16 pressing the tapered surface 23, wherein the weight 16 moves outwards with increasing revolving speed of the pulley member 6, and the transmitted torque is sunk with the decrement of the mating area of the driving ring 19 and follower ring 12, and a slip is generated between the two rings 19, 12 so that the increment of the revolving speed of the pulley member 6 is inhibited. |
