PURPOSE:To provide an output of data comprising mixture of picture data being intermediate tone data and character data being binary data without synthesizing them in a memory. CONSTITUTION:Picture data and character data read by a data latch 13 are latched by a main memory 4 sequentially. In order to correct the picture data at a picture data correction circuit 14, a time delay with respect to the character data is absorbed by a data latch 16. Furthermore, address latches 18, 19 absorb a data correction delay and a predetermined bit is given to a print picture address 21 as a select control signal of a bit selector 17 and a valid bit of the character data is selected. When the selected character data bit is 1 or 0, a data selector 15 selects picture energy data in a character density register 12 or the picture data correction circuit 14. |
