PURPOSE:To accurately and satisfactorily extract the contour of an object in an original picture in converting the original picture data into binary data by specifying an area where the degree of extracting the contour section does not reach the prescribed value and preparing data again. CONSTITUTION:In the case of converting the original picture data into binary data, negative picture data are prepared for each pixel of original picture data. Then, the dimension of blurring matrix B which becomes the prescribed area including the pixel performing the blurring on each pixel (n, m) is decided. The blurring negative picture data are prepared by obtaining the average negative picture data of all pixels in the blurring matrix B. Then, the original picture data and the blurring negative picture data are added on each pixel with the prescribed factors multiplied. The linear density conversion is performed on the data within the range of the prescribed gradation value. The area where the degree of extracting the contour section does not reach the prescribed value is specified and the data are prepared again to be replaced. |
