The device according to the invention comprises a rigid body (1) with two wheels (2, 3) forming an axle. A cylindrical lateral bearing face (4) comes to bear on the lateral face of a gas cylinder. A lower rim (6) forms a support for a part of the lower ring of the gas cylinder. An attaching strap (8) grips around the gas cylinder body to press the device laterally against the gas cylinder and secure it thereto. Limit stops (13, 14) engage inside the lower ring of the gas cylinder. The assembly formed by the bottle and the device is then pulled along by gripping hold of the cylinder stopper handle.
