PURPOSE:To make an input current waveform approximate an input voltage waveform, and to improve an input power factor while inhibiting higher harmonics by overlapping higher harmonics output from a higher-harmonic conversion means to pulsating currents output from a rectifier circuit, peak-rectifying high-frequency voltage, to which pulsating currents are overlapped, and charging a charging capacitor by high-frequency currents. CONSTITUTION:Voltage, in which high-frequency voltage, which is generated at both ends of a capacitor 27 and in which a negative voltage section is clipped by a clip diode 26, is overlapped to pulsating currents output from a rectifier circuit 22, is generated at the node (a) of an inductance element 23 and a diode 24 for peak rectification. Voltage, to which high-frequency voltage is overlapped, is made to flow in when the voltage of a charging capacitor 25 is low by the peak rectifying diode 24 through the inductance element 23 in currents flowing through the rectifier circuit 22 from a commercial AC power supply 21. An AC input current waveform approximates to an AC input waveform, effective currents are lowered to mean currents, an input power factor is improved, and power-supply higher harmonics can be reduced. |
