PURPOSE:To ensure mechanical strength, and to extend battery life by restricting increase in the electric resistance of a beta alumina tube to ensure the electric capacity of a battery, and by maintaining charging/discharging efficiency while reducing the number of pores in the beta alumina particle. CONSTITUTION:The dust containing at least one element among silicon, calcium, iron and potassium, is provided at no more than 100mug/m<3> in total at the relative humidity of no less than 20%, as a floating dust in the working atmosphere in the weighing capacity process of a material and in the slurry adjustment process. In the handling process of granulated powder, the dust is provided under the same condition, and the relative humidity is 20-65%. In the handling process of a molten body after baking, the time for handling is defined no more than a level determined by a specific expression in relation to the relative humidity. |
